AutoSmart NZ Ltd is expanding its NZ operation with a new mobile showroom truck destined for Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region
The business, which has established a specialist position in the New Zealand vehicle cleaning and maintenance market since its arrival, is having a Fuso Fighter fitted out by Custom Motor Bodies in Auckland. It is the first AutoSmart vehicle to be built by the company and say it reflects a commitment to using local suppliers.
The new truck follows a mobile showroom design developed through AutoSmart’s experience operating in Australia, the UK and Europe. Described as a ‘Warehouse on Wheels’, the body is designed to keep stock secure while providing easy access for customers.
With the mobile showroom potentially making 20 to 30 stops a day, organisation and safe storage are key considerations. Its inventory includes vehicle cleaning, maintenance and grooming products, along with drums of formulated products, brushes, brooms, polishing pads, rags, gloves and other workshop consumables.
The Fuso and AutoSmart’s South Island sales manager will operate throughout greater Canterbury and further afield from spring 2026.
The company says the mobile showroom will allow products to be demonstrated on site while providing customers with direct access to stock and technical knowledge.
