TRT announces a new partnership with Chinese manufacturer XCMG, expanding its range of crane and lifting equipment across NZ and Australia
The agreement will see TRT represent XCMG’s range of All Terrain, Rough Terrain, Crawler, Tower and Truck Cranes, along with Port Handling Equipment.
For TRT, which has been supplying heavy transport and lifting equipment since 1967, the partnership adds a broad range of equipment to its existing portfolio.
“Choosing the right OEM partner is about more than the product itself,” says TRT managing director Bruce Carden. “It’s about confidence in the engineering, a shared commitment to innovation, supplying value to the customer and the ability to support those customers for years to come.”
TRT will be the authorised XCMG dealer for the crane and port-handling range throughout New Zealand. In Queensland, it will operate as a sub-dealer of Baden Davis Crane Connection for XCMG crane products, while TRT will distribute XCMG Tower Cranes and Port Handling Equipment along Australia’s east coast.
The company says sales, parts and service support will form a key part of the arrangement, with additional service dealers to be trained and appointed as the network expands.
Bruce says TRT was particularly impressed by XCMG’s manufacturing facilities and the willingness of its engineering teams to incorporate dealer feedback into product development.
